peacocks!!

Thanks to Erica and Samantha... I am now in love with peacocks! They are beautiful creatures!
Big changes are a brewin' for the blog. Things should look a lot different in a month or so.

And sometimes I sew.....

I named my little business/hobby a "collection" because I like to do more than paint angels. Don't get me wrong... I love to paint angels. I think they are very worthy subject matter. But, my latest obsession is sewing. Sewing is my guilty pleasure. You know, what I do when I should be doing something else. I dream up my next outfit before I am finished with the last. I was about ten minutes away from being a fashion major. Then I considered that I might just like to draw people and went with interior design instead. Here is my "fall collection" of sewing projects. And no... I will not sew for your children, but feel free to be inspired to sew for your children... :) I just like to dream up the next outfit... not the actual sewing. I found all my fabrics at Hobby Lobby. Did I mention that I love Hobby Lobby? I think I stalk the place sometimes. The other day the lady who checked me out commented on how big Blake has gotten... yikes!



All that being said... here are my latest angels. I am working on some super cool peacocks. I hope to have them up in the next week or so.

I can not figure out why this picture uploads sideways. Learning about photography is a process with me. I think my problem is with technology. Anyway... don't forget about the cathedral angels. They make great gifts... only $25!

I rarely fall in love with paintings, but I think I might be in love with this one... :) I guess I should say - I rarely fall in love with my own paintings. I am trying to get back into painting. The break has been good for me though. The studio is still filled with the "to be put in attic" stuff, so hopefully when it is cleaned out I will be back to full strength.

A space of my very own!!

I don't think my husband and/or my mother would approve of me posting a picture of our "storage" area, but I was so excited to have a real art studio that I had to show it off. We have now been in our new-to-us house for three full weeks, and while we have a way to go, our goal for this weekend is to clean out the studio. This room is in between the carport and the laundry area, so it is perfect for my little art room. Hopefully, come Monday I can pick the paints up off the floor and put them in their own space. I know John will be glad to see them off the kitchen counter where they lived in our last house.
